My first canvas in 25 years was inspired by the historic town of Bamberg in Upper Franconia and its brightly decorated “Rathaus” which straddles the River Regnitz. The shapes endeavour to capture the slip into Winter as the seasons change.

Probably my most favourite piece from my time in Germany. This is painted on a cotton sheet using a pallet knife and it seems like a ton of paint. Wet on wet technique all done in a single visit to the canvas with no corrections.
